Symposium 14 – 17 October 2015 in Marrakech, Morocco

RNP & Disease

Dear all,
We are happy to welcome you to the „RNP and Disease“ conference taking place from the 14th to 17th October 2015 in the beautiful city of Marrakech, Morocco. The conference is organized in the framework of the Marie Curie ITN project RNPnet (PITN-GA-2011-289007), funded by the European Union’s Seventh Framework Programme for Research (FP7). The RNPnet project has started on 1st November 2011 and will come to an end on the 31st of October 2015 after this final conference in Morocco. We would like to use this opportunity to share our results from this research projects with the participants. We are thrilled that we could invite several excellent international researchers to give a talk on this topic. It was hard to select among the submitted abstracts for oral presentation, but have been able to select some promising abstracts for an additional around 30 presentations. Additionally we will have over 60 posters, a few of them presented by on minute flash talks. This conference is an ideal platform for the younger researchers among the participants to network with the experienced PIs in this field. We think this event is a superb “Finale Grande” for the RNPnet project, a truly pan-European project including 15 research groups from 13 different institutions in 8 European countries.
Our special thanks go to the European Union for the generous funding of the RNPnet project, which made this four year-long scientific journey possible and which was an ideal training opportunity for the 16 participating PhD students.
Additionally we would like to use the opportunity to thank the sponsors of this conference ABIVAX, Novartis and the NCCR RNA & Disease for their generous support of the RNP and Disease conference.
We wish you a pleasant stay in Marrakech an d hope you have the time to enjoy the colour and magnificent scents in the oriental Souk.
